Ingredients
1/2 lb of beef suitable for roasting
10 fresh shiitake mushrooms
1/2 a red bell pepper
1/2 a green bell pepper
1/2 a yellow bell pepper
2 eggs
1/2 cup of glutinous rice flour (sweet rice flour)
Instructions
1. Start by seasoning the beef with soy sauce, salt, and pepper to taste. Let it marinate and absorb the flavors.
2. Clean the shiitake mushrooms thoroughly, removing stems and slicing them. Marinate the sliced mushrooms in soy sauce as well.
3. Prepare the bell peppers by cutting them in half, removing the seeds, and then slicing them into uniform strips.
4. Place 2-3 slices of the marinated beef flat on the workspace, add a portion of the mushrooms and bell peppers on top, and roll them tightly, similar to making sushi rolls.
5. Beat the eggs well. Dip the beef rolls into the egg, ensuring they're coated evenly, then dredge them in glutinous rice flour.
6. In a pan, heat some oil over medium heat and cook the rolls until they're golden brown on all sides.
7. Let the rolls cool slightly before slicing them diagonally into bite-sized pieces, then arrange them beautifully on a serving plate.
